We run a portfolio of our own products, and every one of them has to clear the same readiness bar before it goes live: typed strict-mode TypeScript, tests that gate merges, CI and security scanning, error monitoring wired before launch rather than after the first incident. When we build for a client, that bar comes with the work.
That discipline is why our architecture choices tend to be conservative in the places that matter. Tenant isolation belongs in the database, not in application code that a missed clause can bypass. Long-running work belongs in a job queue, not in a request that might time out. These are not preferences — they are the decisions we have had to live with across years of operating what we shipped.
